This morning I was pleasantly surprised by what I had been waiting for the past three weeks. Four silkmoths emerged from their cocoons and were drying out their yet wrinkly wings. They were smaller than what I expected. Perhaps I imagined them to be bigger due to all the close-up pictures of them that I had seen. I still cannot tell which ones are male or female. I read that female silkmoths are slightly bigger, but all of them are about 2 centimeters long. Now I am going to enjoy their company for the next 2-3 days. More pictures are on the way!
